2023 Electricity ATB Technologies

The 2023 Electricity Annual Technology Baseline (ATB) provides consistent, freely available, technology-specific cost and performance parameters across a range of R&D advancements scenarios, resource characteristics, sites, fuel prices, and financial assumptions for electricity-generating and storage technologies, both at present and with projections through 2050. ATB parameters include capital expenditures (CAPEX), operation and maintenance (O&M) expenditures, capacity factors, and levelized cost of energy (LCOE), a summary metric for electricity-generating technologies. The ATB includes base year and projected estimates based on technology innovation for land-based wind, offshore wind, utility-scale photovoltaics (PV) commercial PV, residential PV, concentrating solar power, geothermal, hydropower, utility-scale PV-plus-battery, utility-scale battery storage, commercial battery storage, residential battery storage, pumped storage hydropower, fossil energy technologies.
